CTL Partners With UNFI on Zero Emission and Electric Refrigerated Trailer

26 OCTOBER 2023, NEW JERSEY – Commercial Trailer Leasing, Inc. (CTL) announces a partnership with United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) to deploy a zero-emission, fully electric, multi-temperature refrigerated trailer in the U.S. The trailer will be cooled by Carrier Transicold’s Vector eCool™ powered by ConMet eMobility®.

The all-electric Vector eCool™ trailer refrigeration unit uses power generated by ConMet eMobility’s nMotion TR 160-45, an in-wheel electric motor  application that repurposes energy captured during coasting and braking. The combination of clean, regenerated energy and Carrier’s powerful Vector unit will help UNFI keep customers’ deliveries cold, mile after mile, while creating
zero emissions.
